Thais Believe APEC Meeting Will Help

(CPOD) Nov. 11, 2003 - Residents of Thailand believe the country will benefit after hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, according to a poll by ABAC. 73.9 per cent of respondents say the APEC meeting will have a positive effect on the country.
North Korea's nuclear program, international terrorism and security were the main topics during the 21-nation forum of world leaders.
The next APEC Summit will take place in 2004, in Santiago, Chile.
