Terrorism, Economy Top Issues For 2004 U.S. Vote
(CPOD) Jan. 1, 2004 - Protecting the country from attacks is a top priority for American voters in the lead-up to the 2004 presidential election, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. 88 per cent of respondents say terrorism is an important issue in the race for the White House.
The national economy, education and the situation with Iraq were mentioned by more than 80 per cent of all respondents as pressing matters. American voters will elect a president and renew both chambers of congress on Nov. 2.
