Strong Opposition To Same-Sex Marriage In Texas

(CPOD) Sept. 6, 2003 - Many Texans reject offering legal status to gay and lesbian partners, according to a poll by Scripps Data Center. 63 per cent of respondents object to the recognition of same-sex marriage.
The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Texas' sodomy law earlier this year, in what was considered a major victory for gay rights advocates. 56 per cent of respondents disagree with the tribunal's decision.
