Severe Drop For Bush, Americans Reject Congress Aid

(CPOD) Sept. 15, 2003 - The numbers for George W. Bush are near an all-time low, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. 52 per cent of respondents approve of the president's performance, an eight per cent drop since August.
The president addressed the nation on Sept. 7, and outlined his plan to request $87 billion U.S, to continue military action in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than half of all respondents say lawmakers should not authorize the proposal.
