Rise In Support For European Constitution

(CPOD) Aug. 1, 2003 - Residents of the European Union (EU) support the establishment of a common law for member states, according to the results of the latest Eurobarometer. 74 per cent of respondents in all countries believe the EU should have a constitution.

Support for the body of law was strongest in Italy, Greece and the Netherlands, while less than half of respondents in Finland and Denmark concurred.
