Putin “Ideal” In Belarus
(CPOD) Oct. 20, 2003 - The citizens of Belarus admire Vladimir Putin, according to a poll by the Independent Institute for Socio-Economic and Political Research. 58 per cent of respondents believe the current president of the Russian Federation comes closest to their ideal for a politician.
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and French president Jacques Chirac are the only other leaders with more than 10 per cent.
