Putin Gets High Marks In Russia
(CPOD) Jun. 30, 2003 - The approval rating for Vladimir Putin remains stable in Russia, according to a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation. Only 11 per cent of respondents say the president's performance has been bad, while most rate it as satisfactory or good.
Putin's diplomatic efforts took him to Britain last week, in the first state visit by a Russian head of state since 1874. The president will seek a second four-year term in office in March 2004.
