Poll Shows Modest Trust In World Political Leaders

(CPOD) Nov. 21, 2004 - Almost two-thirds of adults worldwide have little confidence in politicians, according to the Voice of the People survey by Gallup International released by the World Economic Forum. 63 per cent of respondents in 60 countries believe political leaders are dishonest.

Latin America, West Asia and Africa had the highest rejection rates, with more than 80 per cent of respondents questioning the integrity of political leaders. The lowest number of negative responses came in Western, Eastern and Central Europe and North America.
