Obama, McCain Set to Win in Vermont
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Voting intention surveys conducted in the Green Mountain State place Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama as the favourite contenders in today’s United States presidential primaries.
In two polls of Republican Party voters in Vermont, the Arizona senator is in first place with the support of at least 68 per cent of respondents. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and Texas congressman Ron Paul cannot reach 20 per cent.
Among Democratic Party voters, the Illinois senator is ahead in all three studies, with the support of at least 53 per cent of respondents. New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is second, with a high of 39 per cent.
