North Korea Viewed Negatively By Americans

(CPOD) Feb. 22, 2004 - Americans have an overly positive view of Australia, Great Britain and Canada, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. At least 87 per cent of respondents have a favorable opinion of the three countries.

During the war in Iraq, public sentiment in the United States was divided towards the European nations that decided not to participate in the coalition effort. 69 per cent of respondents have a positive view of Germany. Approval is lower for France, at 47 per cent.

Iraq, Iran, the Palestinian Authority and North Korea are at the bottom of the list. At least 77 per cent of respondents have an unfavorable opinion of the four entities.
