Low Grades For Party Leaders In Spain
(CPOD) Feb. 20, 2004 - Spanish voters give average grades to the leaders of the country's three most important national political organizations, according to a poll by Sigma Dos released by Antena 3 TV. On a scale of one to 10, respondents rated Popular Party (PP) leader Mariano Rajoy with a 5.59.
Opposition leader Jose Luis R. Zapatero of the Socialist Worker's Party (PSOE) received an overall grade of 5.21, while United Left (IU) head Gaspar Llamazares got a 4.17. Spanish voters will renew their legislative branch on Mar. 14. Unemployment and terrorism have been the main topics of discussion during the campaign.
