French Like New Cabinet Members
(CPOD) Apr. 13, 2004 - French adults have high hopes for five members of the new cabinet, according to a poll by BVA published in Le Bleu de Profession Politique. 66 per cent of respondents believe Nicolas Sarkozy will do a good job as France's new finance minister.
Centre-right parties had a dismal showing in the Mar. 28 regional elections, and a series of cabinet changes were announced on Mar. 31. More than 60 per cent of respondents back new employment minister Jean-Louis Borloo and new interior minister Dominique de Villepin.
Support is slightly lower for health and social protection minister Philippe Douste-Blazy and national education minister François Fillon.
