French Citizens Assess Globalization

(CPOD) Sept. 13, 2003 - The United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) are rated by French citizens as good contributors to globalization, according to a poll by CSA released by L'Humanite. More than 70 per cent of respondents have a positive opinion of the two organizations in matters related to world commerce.

Multinational corporations and the United States are seen negatively by the French. Less than 30 per cent of respondents had an approving view of the two entities.
