EU Beneficial For Countries, Say Europeans

(CPOD) Aug. 11, 2003 - Residents of the European Union (EU) believe the continental alliance is valuable for constituent states, according to the results of the latest Eurobarometer. Half of all respondents believe their respective countries have improved as a result of membership.
Ireland, Luxembourg and Greece were the territories with the most positive responses, while 50 per cent of Swede respondents say their country has not benefited from EU membership.
