Estonians Set For EU Membership
(CPOD) Sept. 13, 2003 - Many Estonian citizens support joining the European Union (EU), according to a poll by the Emor Institute. 67 per cent of respondents want their country to become a member of the continental alliance.
Estonians will vote on EU membership on Sept. 14. The Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia have held positive referenda on EU membership this year. Citizens of Cyprus and Latvia will also vote on the matter this year.
