Cancer Is Top Health Concern In U.S.
(CPOD) Feb. 3, 2004 - Americans remain worried about cancer, according to a poll by Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates released by the American Cancer Society and Trust for America's Health. 25 per cent of respondents say cancer is the biggest health risk in their community.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. More than 1,500 Americans die from cancer every day.
Obesity, heart disease and diabetes were the only hazards mentioned by more than 10 per cent of respondents. A possible bioterrorism attack was at the bottom of the list, with four per cent.
