Cancer, AIDS Are Biggest Global Health Concerns

(CPOD) Dec. 4, 2004 - Cancer and HIV/AIDS are the main health concerns in the world, according to a poll by Gallup International. 42 per cent of respondents in 60 countries believe cancer is the most important disease in their country, while 27 per cent mention HIV/AIDS.

Cancer topped the list of concerns in Western Europe, East and Central Europe, North America, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions, while HIV/AIDS was the main problem in Africa, Latin America and West Asia.
