Bush Makes It To #3 In List Of Greatest Presidents
(CPOD) May 18, 2003 - Recent events in Iraq have boosted George W. Bush's place in history, according to a poll by Gallup. Bush and Bill Clinton tied for third place when Americans were asked to rank their greatest presidents, with 11 per cent.
Abraham Lincoln is at the top of the list with 15 per cent, followed by John F. Kennedy with 13 per cent. Ronald Reagan is right behind the last two American heads of state with 10 per cent.
On May 16 in a low-key event, Bush began his re-election campaign by filing the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Vice-president Dick Cheney will remain as his running mate in 2004.
