Bush Gets Positive Rating In Three Countries

(Angus Reid - CPOD Global Scan) - George W. Bush is seen as a constructive world leader in three countries, according to a 21-nation poll by the BBC World Service, the Program on International Policy Attitudes and GlobeScan.  More respondents in the Philippines, India and Poland believe the American president's re-election is positive for peace and security in the world.

In American elections, candidates require 270 votes in the Electoral College to win the White House. On Nov. 2, Republican incumbent Bush earned a second term after securing 286 electoral votes from 31 states.

In Argentina, Brazil, France and Germany, more than 70 per cent of respondents regard Bush in a negative light.
