George W. Bush

(Angus Reid Global Scan) - Many adults in the United States have one topic to discuss with their current head of state, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. 28 per cent of respondents say if they could talk with U.S. president George W. Bush for 15 minutes, they would give him advice on the war in Iraq.

The coalition effort against Saddam Hussein's regime was launched in March 2003. At least 1,573 American soldiers have died during the military operation, and more than 12,100 troops have been injured.

Social Security was second on the list of topics with 15 per cent, followed by either praise or critique for the president, the economy, energy and gas prices, inequality, health care, and moral issues.

Bush vowed to reform the Social Security system during his re-election campaign. The American president has proposed allowing workers to divert up to four per cent of their Social Security taxes into personal accounts that could be invested in stocks and bonds.
