Americans Question Saudi Arabia

(CPOD) Sept. 10, 2003 - Many Americans do not view Saudi Arabia as a friendly entity, according to a poll by Harris Interactive released by CNN and Time. 72 per cent of respondents do not believe the country is an ally of the United States.

In the past few months, Saudi foreign minister Saud al Faisal has repeatedly denied the government's involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers who participated in the operation were Saudi citizens. 71 per cent of respondents say Saudi Arabia is not fully cooperating with American authorities in the war against terrorism.
