Americans Expect Higher Gas Prices
(CPOD) Apr. 15, 2004 - Rising gasoline costs are a concern for people in the United States, according to a poll by Opinion Dynamics released by Fox News. 86 per cent of respondents expect fuel prices to be higher this summer.
The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. was $1.78 U.S. on Apr. 13, the highest number ever recorded in the country.
Americans are split over one way to increase oil and gas production within their borders. 46 per cent of respondents favour relaxing some environmental standards to increase domestic output, while 43 per cent disagree.
