Abstract: (CPOD) Sept. 23, 2003 - Two years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Americans have become more critical of their news providers, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 45 per cent of respondents say reporting "stayed the same" while 36 per cent say it is worse.

(CPOD) Sept. 23, 2003 - Two years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Americans have become more critical of their news providers, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 45 per cent of respondents say reporting "stayed the same" while 36 per cent say it is worse.

Al-Qaeda operatives hijacked and crashed four airplanes on Sept. 11, 2001, killing nearly 3,000 people. The following days provided wall-to-wall broadcasts of the unforeseen event in all major networks and cable outlets, capped off by coverage of the war effort in Afghanistan. Only 14 per cent of respondents think new organizations are better now than in 2001.
