Oklahoma Looks Certain For Bush

(CPOD) Oct. 6, 2004 - George W. Bush would carry the state of Oklahoma in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Wilson Research Strategies. 58 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 28 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Fourteen per cent of respondents are undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Support for both Bush and Kerry dropped by one per cent since mid-September. In early September, the Republican held a 31 per cent lead over the Democrat.
Bush won Oklahoma's eight electoral votes in 2000, with 60 per cent of the vote. No Democrat has carried the state since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
