Bush Has Advantage In Louisiana

Abstract: (CPOD) Sept. 22, 2004 - George W. Bush would carry the state of Louisiana in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by American Research Group. 50 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 42 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

(CPOD) Sept. 22, 2004 - George W. Bush would carry the state of Louisiana in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by American Research Group. 50 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 42 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

One per cent of respondents would vote for independent candidate Ralph Nader, one per cent would support another contender and six per cent are undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.

Bush won Louisiana's nine electoral votes in 2000, with 52.6 per cent of all cast ballots. The state has chosen the eventual White House dweller in every election since 1972.
