Kerry Victory Certain In Massachusetts

(CPOD) Sept. 20, 2004 - John Kerry would carry his home state of Massachusetts in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by American Research Group. 64 per cent of respondents would vote for the Democratic nominee, while 27 per cent would support Republican incumbent George W. Bush.
One per cent of respondents would vote for another contender and seven per cent are undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Democrat Al Gore won the state's 12 electoral votes in the 2000 election with 59.9 per cent of all cast ballots. The last Republican to carry Massachusetts was Ronald Reagan in 1984.
