(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Republican John McCain could carry the Peach State in this year’s United States presidential election, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. At least 48 per cent of respondents in Georgia would vote for the Arizona senator in head-to-head contests against two prospective Democratic rivals.
McCain holds a nine-point lead over New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and a 14-point advantage over Illinois senator Barack Obama.
