- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Three opposition parties garner the backing of more than half of Swede voters, according to a poll by Sifo published in Svenska Dagbladet. 51.8 per cent of respondents would vote for the Workers’ Party - Social-Democrats (S), the Environmental Party - The Greens (MP), or the Left Party (Vp) in the next general election, down 2.5 points since October.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Balbina Herrera of the Revolutionary Democratic Party (PRD) is still the most popular presidential contender in Panama, according to a poll by Dichter & Neira released by TVN Noticias and Panamá América. 34.3 per cent of respondents would vote for Herrera in next year’s ballot.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The Likud party is ahead of all rivals in Israel, according to a poll by New Wave published in Yisrael Hayom. A prospective tally shows Likud could win 33 seats in next year’s legislative election, up four seats since October.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Most adults in the United States want their president-elect to look beyond his own party when he assembles his cabinet, according to a poll by GfK Roper Public Affairs & Media released by the Associated Press. 73 per cent of respondents want Barack Obama to appoint some qualified Republicans to important posts in his administration.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The opposition Pan-Hellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) is now the most popular political party in Greece, according to a poll by ALCO published in Ta Nea. 30.3 per cent of respondents would vote for PASOK in the next general election.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Two-thirds of adults in Britain want their government to end its military deployment in Afghanistan, according to a poll by ICM Research released by the BBC. 68 per cent of respondents think Britain should withdraw its troops from Afghanistan within the next 12 months.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The Christian-Democratic Union (CDU) and the Bavarian Christian-Social Party (CSU) remain the most popular political organizations in Germany, according to a poll by Forsa released by Stern and RTL. 37 per cent of respondents would vote for either party in the next election to the Federal Diet, up one point since late October.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - A majority of adults in Norway are against a bid to join the European Union (EU), according to a poll by Sentio-Norsk Statistic published in Klassekampen. 53.4 per cent of respondents do not want to enter the continental group, while 34.6 per cent disagree.
