French Think Some Companies Are Racist
(CPOD) Jun. 6, 2004 - Many citizens of France believe some businesses are racially prejudiced, according to a poll by CSA published in Enjeux Les Echos. 74 per cent of respondents say that people can see their career handicapped in some companies because of their origin or skin colour.
As far as solutions to the problem, 85 per cent of respondents would support allowing inspectors from the Labour Ministry to use and apply racial discrimination laws.
Only 54 per cent of respondents would agree to establish a specific quota for immigrants or people of different races in each company.
