Ugandans Divided on Museveni’s Performance
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Adults in Uganda hold differing views on the way Yoweri Museveni has done his job, according to a poll by Steadman Group. 32 per cent of respondents think the president has performed better in his current term, 27 per cent feel he has worked in the same fashion as before, and 36 per cent believe he has been worse.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - A majority of adults in Norway are against a bid to join the European Union (EU), according to a poll by Sentio-Norsk Statistic published in Klassekampen. 53.4 per cent of respondents do not want to enter the continental group, while 34.6 per cent disagree.

CDU-CSU Maintain Upper Hand in Germany
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The Christian-Democratic Union (CDU) and the Bavarian Christian-Social Party (CSU) remain the most popular political organizations in Germany, according to a poll by Forsa released by Stern and RTL. 37 per cent of respondents would vote for either party in the next election to the Federal Diet, up one point since late October.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - A third of adults in Israel want Benny Begin to be the second name in the list of Likud party legislative contenders, according to a poll by Shvakim Panorama released by Israel Radio. 32.9 per cent of respondents choose Begin, while 23.6 per cent would prefer former foreign minister Silvan Shalom.

- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Adults in Canada are more likely to expect great things from the American president-elect than people in the United States, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies. 84 per cent of Canadians think the recent election of Barack Obama will help the overall direction of the U.S., and 55 per cent of Americans concur.
