(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - A third of adults in Israel want Benny Begin to be the second name in the list of Likud party legislative contenders, according to a poll by Shvakim Panorama released by Israel Radio. 32.9 per cent of respondents choose Begin, while 23.6 per cent would prefer former foreign minister Silvan Shalom.

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Public support for the administration headed by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono increased this month in Indonesia, according to a poll by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI). 62 per cent of respondents are satisfied with the president’s leadership, up 17 points since June.

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The political scene in the United Kingdom has tightened, according to a poll by YouGov published in the Sunday Times. 41 per cent of respondents would vote for the opposition Conservative party, while 35 per cent would back the governing Labour party.

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Adults in Canada are more likely to expect great things from the American president-elect than people in the United States, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies. 84 per cent of Canadians think the recent election of Barack Obama will help the overall direction of the U.S., and 55 per cent of Americans concur.
