Ruling ALP Ahead by 12 Points in Australia
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Australia’s governing party has a solid lead over the official opposition, according to a poll by Newspoll published in The Australian. 45 per cent of respondents would vote for the Australian Labor Party (ALP) in the next election to the House of Representatives, down two points since early August.

Support for Australian PM Rudd Still Strong
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The popularity of Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd remains strong, according to a poll by Newspoll published in The Australian. 57 per cent of respondents are satisfied with Rudd’s job as head of government, down one point since early August.
