French Majority Would Leave Afghanistan
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Most people in France want to withdraw the country’s soldiers from Afghanistan, according to a poll by CSA published in Le Parisien. 55 per cent of respondents support a troop pull-out, while 36 per cent say the French soldiers should stay put.

President Sarkozy Reaches 40% in France
- (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - French prime minister François Fillon continues to hold better numbers than the country’s president, according to a poll by Ifop published in Le Journal du Dimanche. 51 per cent of respondents are satisfied with Fillon’s performance, while 40 per cent feel the same way about Nicolas Sarkozy’s leadership.
