(CPOD) Jun. 26, 2003 – Americans are concerned over the amount of post-war fatalities in Iraq, according to a poll by ABC and the Washington Post. 44 per cent of respondents say the level of casualties is unacceptable, a 16 per cent increase since April.
(CPOD) Jun. 26, 2003 – Americans are concerned over the amount of post-war fatalities in Iraq, according to a poll by ABC and the Washington Post. 44 per cent of respondents say the level of casualties is unacceptable, a 16 per cent increase since April.
Since May 1, when United States president George W. Bush declared major combat in Iraq was over, more than 50 American troops have died from hostile actions or in accidents. As the search for weapons of mass destruction continues, 63 per cent of respondents believe the conflict against Saddam Hussein’s regime was justified.
Iran’s alleged nuclear program is also a worry for respondents. 56 per cent would favor pre-emptive action against the country, to stop it from developing banned weapons.
