Bolivians Counting On Natural Gas Deal

(CPOD) Jul. 11, 2003 – Bolivian residents support their government’s reliance on the oil and natural gas industry, according to a poll by Estudios Mori published in El Deber. 50 per cent of respondents agree that Bolivia must start exporting natural gas.

(CPOD) Jul. 11, 2003 – Bolivian residents support their government’s reliance on the oil and natural gas industry, according to a poll by Estudios Mori published in El Deber. 50 per cent of respondents agree that Bolivia must start exporting natural gas.

President Gonzalo S¡nchez de Lozada is contemplating the sale of natural gas to the United States, but must first strike a deal with neighbouring countries for the construction of a pipeline. The government is counting on the deal as a way to revitalize Bolivia’s economy.
