(CPOD) Sept. 15, 2003 -Financial matters are a growing concern for French citizens, according to a poll by CSA published in La Tribune. 62 per cent of respondents say they are mostly pessimistic on economic matters, a 12 per cent increase in two years.
The French budget deficit will apparently fall out of European Union (EU) limits for the third year in a row. Tax cuts introduced by prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin are expected to push the deficit to 4.0 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product in 2004.
Budget minister Alain Lambert recently stated that he expects a full recovery for the French economy sometime in 2006.
