(CPOD) Nov. 27, 2003 – Americans are split over George W. Bush’s efforts to prevent future attacks in the country, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 49 per cent of respondents have a positive assessment on the president’s handling of terrorism, while 48 per cent disagree.
(CPOD) Nov. 27, 2003 – Americans are split over George W. Bush’s efforts to prevent future attacks in the country, according to a poll by Harris Interactive. 49 per cent of respondents have a positive assessment on the president’s handling of terrorism, while 48 per cent disagree.
Bush’s position in Iraq is met with more negative views. 58 per cent of respondents disapprove of the way Bush has dealt with the crisis in the Persian Gulf.
The long campaign in Iraq has affected the president’s support for the last few months. On Nov. 14, Bush stated that U.S. troops would stay in Iraq until the country is “free and peaceful” and deposed leader Saddam Hussein is either captured or killed.
