(CPOD) Nov. 27, 2003 – Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman is the top democrat in Florida, according to a poll by Mason-Dixon Polling released by the Tampa Tribune and WFLA-TV. 21 per cent of respondents would support Lieberman in a primary election, a four per cent lead over former Vermont governor Howard Dean.
(CPOD) Nov. 27, 2003 – Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman is the top democrat in Florida, according to a poll by Mason-Dixon Polling released by the Tampa Tribune and WFLA-TV. 21 per cent of respondents would support Lieberman in a primary election, a four per cent lead over former Vermont governor Howard Dean.
Retired general Wesley Clark and Missouri congressman Dick Gephardt are the only other prospective nominees with more than 10 per cent.
Florida’s 27 electoral votes decided the 2000 presidential election, after weeks of recounts and court injunctions concluded in a 537-vote victory for George W. Bush over Democrat Al Gore.
