(CPOD) Nov. 28, 2003 – Canadians are still weary of their health care regulations, but not as much as last year, according to a poll by Ekos Research Associates. 44 per cent of respondents say the system is “getting worse.”
(CPOD) Nov. 28, 2003 – Canadians are still weary of their health care regulations, but not as much as last year, according to a poll by Ekos Research Associates. 44 per cent of respondents say the system is “getting worse.”
In Nov. 2002, a royal commission on healthcare –headed by former Saskatchewan premier Ray Romanow– proposed the creation of a National Health Council encompassing government officials, health care providers and the public, to review medical standards in Canada.
In a similar poll conducted before the landmark report was published, 69 per cent of respondents said Canada’s health care was worsening.
