(12/02/03) - NZ’s Labour Leads Despite New Opposition Leader
(CPOD) Dec. 2, 2003 – The Labour party remains the top political organization in New Zealand, according to a poll by TNS released by TV3. 49 per cent of respondents would support the ruling party in a general election, a 26 per cent lead over the National Party.

On Oct. 27, Don Brash –a 63-year-old economist– became the new National Leader after defeating incumbent Bill English in a tight race. Support for his party went down by one per cent.
