Salvadorans Want Troops Out Of Iraq

(CPOD) Dec. 18, 2003 – Residents of El Salvador want their soldiers to return from their stint in the Persian Gulf, according to a poll by CID-Gallup published in El Diario de Hoy. 63 per cent of respondents are opposed to the deployment of troops in Iraq.

(CPOD) Dec. 18, 2003 – Residents of El Salvador want their soldiers to return from their stint in the Persian Gulf, according to a poll by CID-Gallup published in El Diario de Hoy. 63 per cent of respondents are opposed to the deployment of troops in Iraq.

El Salvador has committed 360 soldiers as part of the Plus Ultra brigade, commanded by Spain and completed with troops from Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Salvadorian president Francisco Flores recently reaffirmed the country’s participation in the contingent.
