(CPOD) Dec. 1, 2003 – Creating jobs should be the key priority in Bosnia and Herzegovina according to a poll by Partner Marketing Consulting Agency. 42.9 per cent of respondents believe unemployment is the main problem facing the government in the country.
Large parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina were ravaged during the Balkan conflict of the early 1990s, and the country’s economy still depends heavily on foreign aid. The war killed 250,000 Bosnian citizens from 1992 to 1995.
Economic reconstruction, dealing with corruption inside the government and cracking down on crime were mentioned by more than 10 per cent of respondents as important themes.
