(CPOD) Apr. 8, 2004 – The ruling Labour party and the opposition Conservatives are tied in Britain, according to a poll by Populus published in The Times. 34 per cent of respondents would support each political organization in the next general election.
(CPOD) Apr. 8, 2004 – The ruling Labour party and the opposition Conservatives are tied in Britain, according to a poll by Populus published in The Times. 34 per cent of respondents would support each political organization in the next general election.
Questions about immigration policies have been in the news over the past few days in the United Kingdom. Last week, Tory leader Michael Howard criticized prime minister Tony Blair over claims that citizens from Romania and Bulgaria were entering Britain with falsified documents. On Apr. 1, immigration minister Beverley Hughes resigned after acknowledging she had been told of the suspected scam.
The Liberal Democrats are in third place with 22 per cent. Britain must renew the House of Commons by June 2006.
