(06/11/04) - Centre Party Leads In Finland EU Poll
(CPOD) Jun. 11, 2004 – The Centre Party (KESK) holds a slim lead among Finnish voters in the election to the European Parliament, according to a poll by EOS Gallup Europe. 26 per cent of respondents would vote for KESK, while 24 per cent would support the conservative National Rally (KOK).
(CPOD) Jun. 11, 2004 – The Centre Party (KESK) holds a slim lead among Finnish voters in the election to the European Parliament, according to a poll by EOS Gallup Europe. 26 per cent of respondents would vote for KESK, while 24 per cent would support the conservative National Rally (KOK).
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is third with 19 per cent, followed by the Green League (VIHR) with 13 per cent. The election is scheduled for Jun. 13.
In the 1999 European Parliament vote, the Conservatives received 25.3 per cent, while the Centre Party got 21.3 per cent. Finland will elect 14 members to the 732-seat European Parliament.
