(06/13/04) - Social-Democrats Lead In Sweden’s EU Vote
(CPOD) Jun. 13, 2004 – The Workers’ Party – Social-Democrats (S) holds the lead among Swedish voters in the election to the European Parliament, according to a poll by EOS Gallup Europe. 26 per cent of respondents would vote for the party, while 22 per cent would support the Moderate Rally Party (M).
(CPOD) Jun. 13, 2004 – The Workers’ Party – Social-Democrats (S) holds the lead among Swedish voters in the election to the European Parliament, according to a poll by EOS Gallup Europe. 26 per cent of respondents would vote for the party, while 22 per cent would support the Moderate Rally Party (M).
The Left Party (Vp) are third with 12 per cent, followed by the People’s Party Liberals (FpL) with 11 per cent. The election takes place today.
In the 1999 European Parliament vote, the Social-Democrats received 26 per cent, while the Moderates got 20.7 per cent.
Sweden will elect 19 members to the 732-seat European Parliament.
