Bush Keeps Commanding Lead In Kentucky

(CPOD) Jul. 30, 2004 – George W. Bush would carry the state of Kentucky in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Survey USA released by WHAS-TV. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 42 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

Bush would carry the state of Kentucky in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Survey USA released by WHAS-TV. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 42 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

Five per cent of respondents are undecided or will choose another candidate. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.

Support for Bush remained stable since June, while backing for Kerry increased by three per cent.

Bush carried the state’s eight electoral votes in 2000, defeating Democrat Al Gore with 56.4 per cent of the vote. Kentucky has picked the eventual White House dweller in every presidential election since 1964.
