(CPOD) Jul. 30, 2004 – American voters believe George W. Bush is better equipped to deal with three pressing concerns in the United States, according to a poll by Gallup released by CNN and USA Today. 56 per cent of respondents think the Republican incumbent would do a better job than Democratic nominee John Kerry in the topic of terrorism. Bush had more positive responses than Kerry in dealing with the situation in Iraq and taxes.
Kerry is the preferred choice in three other subjects. 54 per cent of respondents say the Democratic nominee would handle health care better. Kerry also enjoyed higher support in the areas of education and the economy.
The presidential election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
