(CPOD) Oct. 9, 2004 – John Kerry would carry the state of Maryland in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Gonzales Research & Marketing Strategies. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for the Democratic nominee, while 42 per cent would support Republican incumbent George W. Bush.
(CPOD) Oct. 9, 2004 – John Kerry would carry the state of Maryland in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Gonzales Research & Marketing Strategies. 52 per cent of respondents would vote for the Democratic nominee, while 42 per cent would support Republican incumbent George W. Bush.
Support for Kerry dropped by one per cent since August, while backing for Bush increased by two per cent. In June, the Democrat held a 14 per cent lead over the Republican. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Democrat Al Gore won Maryland’s 10 electoral votes in the 2000 presidential election, with a 17 per cent lead over Bush. No Republican has carried the state since George H. Bush in 1988.
