(CPOD) Oct. 9, 2004 – George W. Bush would carry the state of Oklahoma in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by SurveyUSA released by KFOR-TV. 63 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 33 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.

Bush would carry the state of Oklahoma in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by SurveyUSA released by KFOR-TV. 63 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 33 per cent would support Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Four per cent of respondents would either vote for another candidate or remain undecided. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Support for Bush dropped by one per cent since September, while backing for Kerry remained stable. In August, the Republican held a 19 per cent lead over the Democrat.
Bush won Oklahoma’s eight electoral votes in 2000, with 60 per cent of the vote. No Democrat has carried the state since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
