Hoeven is Top Governor in the United States

(Angus Reid Global Scan) – North Dakota Republican John Hoeven is once again the highest rated governor in the United States, according to a 50-state poll conducted by SurveyUSA. 76 per cent of respondents in the Peace Garden State are satisfied with his performance.

Connecticut Republican Jodi Rell and West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin are next on the list with 75 per cent each, followed by Utah Democrat Jon Huntsman with 72 per cent, Nebraska Republican Dave Heineman and Wyoming Democrat Dave Freudenthal with 68 per cent each, and Montana Democrat Brian Schweitzer and Oklahoma Democrat Brad Henry with 66 per cent each.

The average approval rating for U.S. governors is 47 per cent. The lowest-ranked politicians are Louisiana Democrat Kathleen Blanco with 34 per cent, Kentucky Republican Ernie Fletcher with 33 per cent, Alaska Republican Frank Murkowski with 29 per cent, and Ohio Republican Bob Taft with 17 per cent.
